For the next couple of weeks I will be working all day, harvesting in California. I enjoy being outside and making a nice cash flow in a short period of time. It allows more time and freedom to pursue other things that I want. I prefer this style of working to going to work somewhere long hours everyday. I have decided I will never do that, so I won't. The world is full of all sorts of opportunities and I am confident that I can create my life the way I want it to look. There is an abundance. Whew...so that's that.
As I mentioned, I will be blogging many days about what I have had to eat that day. This seems to be a question I get from people who don't know much (or anything) about living a plant-based lifestyle, so I shall get them (you) familiar. So, here it is for today:
Breakfast:
32 oz of Dateorade
(about 20 dates blended up with water)
**I worked for about an hour and had to attend to a call I had scheduled with someone. The call lasted longer than expected and by the time it was over I was starving. I headed over to the local fruit stand and he wasn't there! The plan was to load up on fruit for myself and some friends. He must be closed on weekends. I went to a cool little place in Nevada City called Fudenjuice and grabbed....
Lunch: Brown rice bowl with spinach, basil, artichokes, olives, and carrots (oil free)
Later when I go back to the house I had a banana smoothie (3 bananas and water)
I worked for another few hours and went to the Co-op to grab some stuff for dinner
Dinner: A huge salad with local butter lettuce and heirloom tomatoes, artichokes, basil, and cucumbers
I made the dressing myself. You can click here to see how in my "recipes" section.
Also with my dinner I snacked on salsa with these cool thin rice cakes that I found at the Co-op. The only ingredients are whole grain brown rice and sea salt (keep the fat as low as possible. Most stuff like this has oil). I'm a sucker for stuff like that, but prefer to eat more water dense foods. It was filling, yet light. The way I like my dinners.
